Welcome to Port Chalmers Yacht Club

Welcome to Dunedin’s longest established yacht club.  We have a very active sailing membership and racing programme along with a proud history of producing national champions across a variety of classes.

We welcome anyone who has an interest in sailing whether it is learning to sail, crewing or sailing your own boat.  Our clubhouse is a family-friendly and social space to relax after a day on the water.

It is with great sadness that we wish to inform our members and friends of the club that long term club stalwart Graeme Gibson passed away peacefully at his home this morning surrounded by his loved ones.

Graeme was a loyal and diligent member of Port Chalmers Yacht Club for a huge portion of his life.

Graeme’s assistance in the organisation and running of club races over the years has been considerable. His enthusiasm and wit whilst helping with flag or rescue-boat duties was always full of infectious merriment.

Ever dependable, Graeme even attended our recent A.G.M.

Graeme will be sadly missed.
