Welcome to Port Chalmers Yacht Club

Welcome to Dunedin’s longest established yacht club.  We have a very active sailing membership and racing programme along with a proud history of producing national champions across a variety of classes.

We welcome anyone who has an interest in sailing whether it is learning to sail, crewing or sailing your own boat.  Our clubhouse is a family-friendly and social space to relax after a day on the water.

Once again, PCYC members have shown the country what they can do with Will Bennett and his crew of Tom Wager and Dan Meehan taking out the South Island Noelex 22 Champs in Wanaka. Also
Mike McGarry with Freestyle and Phil Heseltine with Murihiku taking out 4th and 6th respectively in a fleet of 14 boats.

At the other end of the island, Richard Hawkins finished second in the Finn Nationals at Queen Charlotte Yacht Club with Andrew Duncan taking out 6th.

Well done everyone, it's no small feat to head away to these regattas so it's great to see everyone getting results like that!

Wind coming from all directions today made setting the course challenging but we got both our Ladies Skippers and Forward Hands Races away.

No racing next week with most of the active fleet heading away. The Noelex 22's heading to Wanaka for the South Islands and the Finns heading to Queen Charlotte for their National Champs. Good luck everyone!

See you on the 13th for our last buoy racing for 2025 with a BBQ after.
